What kind of items can I sell at Kent Auction Galleries Ltd.?
We hold two different auctions:
1. Vintage, Modern & Collectables
2. Antiques, Fine Furnishings, Art, Fashion & Collectables
We accept such a wide variety of items that it is easier to list the sort of items we do NOT take:
Soft Furnishings without a fire certificate (unless they are antique)
Divan style beds
Some electrical items
We would be happy to advise you regarding any items you would like to bring in for auction. If you are unsure whether an item would be suitable for sale please contact us before bringing it in. Items will be entered into the most appropriate sale at our auctioneers discretion.
How often do you hold auctions at Kent Auction Galleries Ltd.?
Vintage, Modern & Collectables – every 2 weeks
Antiques, Fine Furnishings, Art, Fashion & Collectables – every 8 weeks
What is the deadline for bringing in items for sale?
We enter lots into our auctions on a daily basis and continue to do this until the catalogue is full. We do not have a ‘deadline’ as such but we like to have the catalogue completed and ready for advertising a week in advance so as a rule all entries must be with us by Thursday the week before the auction.

How soon do I receive payment for items that I have sold?
Payment is made 4 weeks after the date of the auction by bank transfer into your nominated bank account. You will receive notification by email when payment has been made.
What are your opening hours?
We are open from Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm We are not open on Saturday unless there is an auction in progress
When are you open for viewing?
We are open for viewing between 10am and 6pm on the Thursday and 10am and 7pm on the Friday before the day of the sale. You are also able to view between 9am and 10am on the day of the sale.
How do I bid on an item?

I am only interested in buying certain items. Can I search for specific items in your catalogue?
There is a ‘search products’ facility on our Welcome page as well as in our Catalogues. If you would like us to send you email alerts when we have items for sale that match your specific interests please contact us.
Do you have online bidding?
Yes, our online auctions are hosted by www.easyliveauction.com/kent giving you the facility to bid live whilst the auction is in progress.

When can I collect items I have won?
You are welcome to collect your purchases any time during our normal opening hours. Items must be collected within 3 days of the auction.
How can I pay for items I have won?
Our preferred method of payment is by debit card. There is a 2.5% surcharge on payments made by credit card. We also accept cash. We do not accept payment by cheque.
Do you offer a shipping service?
We offer a packing service and can take your items to the Post Office to be sent by Royal Mail. Where this is not cost effective you are welcome to arrange your own collection by courier. Packing fees are chargeable dependent on the size/quantity of items. Please contact us for further details or send a shipping request after the auction.
Do you offer a delivery service?
We offer a delivery service throughout Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Essex and parts of London. Charges are based on a cost of £25 per hour for 1 man or £35 per hour for 2 men including time taken for loading/unloading, transporting and distance between premises.
